OUR HISTORY

The Journey so far

God’s grace started this school in January 2014. Like play like play we registered our first pupils and gradually increased to 50 within the first one year. The effort of our first three teachers- Mr. Alfred, Miss Pelumi and Mrs David-is so significant in scouting for foundation pupils. In the space of 10 years, God helped us secure approval for the Nursery, Primary and Junior Secondary sections of the school. Despite the low economic activities of our community, we are able to position the school to provide a qualitative and affordable education system comparable to anywhere in the country. With 25 dedicated teachers and modest infrastructure we provided a conducive atmosphere for our learners.

Extra-curriculum Activities

We invested time and resources to ensure our students not just learn within the four walls of the classrooms, but also involved in sporting activities and academic events within and outside the school. In the last ten years we

  1. Organised football matches with all the schools within Onipetesi. This was to explore the hidden skills in some of our boys.
  2. Participated in an invitational relay. Both our boys and girls Relay team returned with medals.
  3. We participated in the 10th Anniversary of Liberty school inter-school Quiz competition.
  4. We participated in the 10th Anniversary of Saving Grace football match and spelling Bee.
  5. We organized a spelling Bee competition for schools in the Onipetesi community.
  6. We participated in the Saving Grace Mathematics competition.
  7. We encouraged our students to send an Essay for the Wole Soyinka writing competition in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
  8. Our students participated in the Ifo Zonal Education Mathematics competition.
  9. We took our students to Shoprite Toll gate during children's day.
  10. We took our students to Omole Phase 1 to visit the Manger (Where Jesus was born).

These show our commitment in overall development of our students within and outside the school environment.

Looking into the future

We are trusting God to enlarge our coast in the next 10 years to make us a community of over 500 students and 50 teachers.

  1. We will vigorously pursue the approval of the Senior Secondary School.
  2. Move the primary school to the permanent site.
  3. Invest more in IT and develop the JAMB CBT centre.
  4. Diversify into other ventures to support our teachers.
